We Didn't Start Humanized HR to Do HR Better.
We Started It Because Businesses Deserve Better.
Most organizations don't struggle because they lack talented people. They struggle because talented people are working inside systems that make it difficult to succeed.
-
Leaders become overwhelmed.
-
Managers inherit responsibilities they were never taught to navigate.
-
Communication breaks down.
-
Growth outpaces infrastructure.
-
Good people leave.
-
Performance stalls.
Too often, these challenges get labeled as "HR problems." We see them differently. They are business problems with human solutions.
That's why Humanized HR exists.
We help organizations build the leadership, systems, and human infrastructure that allow people and businesses to thrive together. Because when people perform better, businesses perform better.
What Makes Humanized HR Different?
Many firms provide HR support. We become an extension of your leadership team. Our approach combines executive HR leadership, organizational development, leadership coaching, talent strategy, compliance expertise, and business insight into one integrated partnership. We don't simply respond to problems. We help organizations understand why those problems exist in the first place.
That means asking better questions. Looking beneath the surface. Connecting patterns that others overlook. And building practical solutions that create lasting change rather than temporary relief.
Whether we're coaching executives, facilitating strategic planning, navigating a complex employee situation, building compensation structures, strengthening leadership teams, or supporting day-to-day HR operations, our focus is always the same: Helping organizations become healthier, stronger, and more capable than they were before.
Decisions Based on People, Not Just Policy.
We believe HR shouldn't be a cold administrative function. It is the heart of organizational success. Our humanized approach replaces rigid compliance cycles with empathy-driven strategy, ensuring that every business decision considers the human experience behind the balance sheet.
Our Values

Connection Is the Culture: Healthy organizations are built through meaningful relationships, open communication, and genuine human connection.
Design for Adaptability: The organizations that thrive aren't the ones that predict the future. They're the ones prepared to adapt to it.
Ego-Free Leadership: The strongest leaders remain curious, humble, and willing to rethink what they know.
Own the Outcome: We take responsibility for delivering value, solving problems, and helping our clients succeed.

The Minds Behind Humanized HR

Dr. Kylie Ensrud, EdD., SPHR, SHRM-SCP, CPCO, BCC
Co-Founder, President and Chief HR Officer
Kylie founded Humanized HR to bring a different kind of rigor to people strategy: one grounded in neuroscience, not buzzwords. Her career has spanned the full arc of HR leadership, from designing people strategy from the ground up to sitting in the C-suite as a Chief People Officer and Chief People and Compliance Officer. That experience across compliance, culture, and executive leadership shaped the conviction that founded Humanized HR in 2023: that most organizations are not failing because people don't care, but because the systems around them were never built with how the brain actually works in mind.
That conviction became SIGNAL+, Humanized HR's proprietary methodology, which treats the neuroscience of trust, safety, and behavioral change as the structural foundation for leadership development, culture work, and organizational design, not as language layered on top of it. Under this approach, Kylie and her team have built out full HR infrastructure, culture audits, manager development programs, and executive search processes for organizations across industries, always working from the same premise: sustainable change starts with understanding how people are wired, not just what they're told to do.
Kylie holds an Ed.D. from Concordia University, along with certifications as an EQ-i 2.0 Certified Administrator and GiANT 5 Voices Certified Facilitator. She is also a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), Certified Professional in Compliance Officer (CPCO), and Board Certified Coach (BCC).
Kylie is the author of The Human Signal and a sought-after keynote speaker on the neuroscience of leadership, with recent appearances including DisruptHR Omaha and the Nebraska Trailblazers Breakfast, where she presented "How Brain Science Creates Brain Gain." She has been named HR.com's 2026 CHRO of the Year and 2024 HR Leader of the Year, and Humanized HR was recognized as an OnCon Top 100 HR Team finalist under her leadership.
